What a fascinating tour! I am relatively new to Singapore and this tour provided an excellent opportunity for me to learn a large amount about the Chinese people; their culture and their religion. I particularly enjoyed visiting the City God temple and learning about ghost marriage.
Overall, I would rate this tour very highly and would definitely recommend it to others as an opportunity to learn a lot in only four hours!

Very informative not only on tenants of Buddhism but its relationship to the history of the region and Singapore's own heritage. Protection of these places will only continue the knowledge of their (Singapore) history.

The tour and guide gave a fascinating insight into Buddhist and Taoist philosophies and rituals. the sites at Haw Par Villa and Bright Hill monastery were so impressive - I would definitely take visitors there and the City God temple at Tanjong Pagar, with its ghost marriage ceremonies was so atmospheric and an authentic experience. Fabulous. Next time I will have visitors I will definitely show them all these great temples. A wonderful ancestral heritage for Singapore. Singapore should take pride in its diverse cultures and show it to tourists.
An interesting insight into different religions practiced by Chinese and Chinese Singaporeans. As an expat living in Singapore it is a necessary and enlightening experience to understand the local culture within which we live and work.
This tour helps us to understand much better the modern perspective on religion and religious practice. A highlight was the City God Temple in Tanjong Pagar. A real insight for foreigners into the religious customs of the local people. It is fantastic to see in this temple how traditional customs are still nurtured and kept alive.

A most interesting day - from the Haw Par Villa to Bright Hill monastery. The opportunity to see the way Chinese religion is practiced at the level of the common people is most welcome after much time spent learning about "High Culture" in Asia.
Singapore
We have had many visitors from Europe coming to stay with us in Singapore and what always interests them most is local history and culture. Time and time again visitors have said the highlight of their stay was seeing out of the way places like Haw Par Villa, the smaller temples an more rustic locations like Palau Ubin.
This tour was wonderful. And some of the places we have visited (City God Temple, Tanjong Pagar) will add to my visitor list in future.

1) Very rich cultural information given around the venues visited. 2) Great insight into the dynamics and cross section of Buddhist thought, practice and tradition in Singapore. 3) Very interesting to hear/see the mechanisms that are in place that help/obstruct Buddhism in Singapore today. 4) Informative look at the historical and cultural growth/development of the Singaporean Chinese.
I recommend anyone interested in Asian, Buddhist or Singaporean culture to take this tour.

I have visited Singapore dozens of times since the late 1960s, and have explored much that it has to offer the visitor. However, the next time I'm in Singapore I will definitely be booking one of these tours.
The website clearly promises a level of sophistication, depth and interpretation of local history, society and culture that one will be very unlikely to find on a standard package tour. I have a clear sense that I am going to come away from any of these tours with an enhanced appreciation for the people who have developed and who live within the impressive physical and commercial structures that make up modern Singapore.
